Securing your payments on-line

In order to provide the most reliable service in terms of payments on-line, CARRE BLANC DISTRIBUTION has chosen the PAYBOX secured payment system

Due to the technologies employed and the lack of printed material clearly indicating the bank card number, we assure you that it is safer to pay with a bank card via a PAYBOX-affiliated Website than in most of the local shops.

All phases of the payment to be made between the buyer and PAYBOX are entirely encrypted and protected. The protocol used is SSL coupled with monetary banking.

This means that the data linked to the order and to the number of the bank card are not transmitted in clear figures over the Internet.

In this manner, no-one has access, whether via a computer or in printed form, to the buyer’s bank card details.

Les différentes étapes de sécurisation du paiement sur Internet:

A chaque demande de paiement :
1.     The buyer accesses a page for encrypted SSL payment
2.     The person then inputs the card number, the expiry date and the visual cryptogram, before authorisation is requested. The liaison between the buyer and the PAYBOX SYSTEM server is established in HTTPS mode, a secure protocol using SSL, which encrypts all data exchanged. This protection protects the data sent via Internet and guarantees the buyer that his/her bank card number may not be intercepted in clear figures by a third party during its transfer to the secured PAYBOX SYSTEM server. The Home Page for PAYBOX SYSTEM gives details to the buyer about his/her purchase: presentation of the seller (thereby guaranteeing that the entity has been authenticated).
3.   When the card number has passed through a first control level (Luhn key, oppositions, etc.), the PAYBOX SYSTEM server transmits an authorisation request to the banking centre to which the seller is affiliated. This is done using the standardised banking protocols over a specialised telecommunication network.
4.  The banking authorisation centre sends back an authorisation or refusal number. If payment is accepted, PAYBOX SYSTEM will then carry out the following transactions: - displaying the payment ticket on the screen of the purchaser (optional) - sending the payment ticket via e-mail to the buyer and to the seller - the card number, however, is NEVER sent to the selling entity.
